Rowan was 18 when he traveled to Mongolia for the first time. He immediately came in, probably, the best location of Mongolia; a small village in the far west of the country. This village, Chandmani, was said to be the “birthplace” of khuumii, throat singing. His stay in this small village inspired him to discover the musical traditions of this country in the next years to come. Now, a few years later he managed to learn this traditional vocal art.
