Arlen was born in 1989 in Texas. Armed with guitars, trombones, improvised percussion instruments, an Apple computer, and anything else he can find, Arlen layers a smiling forest-folk with eastern and Mexican drones and a subtle Texan undercurrent. His voice, ranging from a growling baritone, to a smoother tenor, to a squeaky falsetto, meshes with a trombone with similar range. Arlen lives in Shiner, Texas, a town of two thousand that makes spectacular German beer.
