About Roope Kivimaa
Roope Kivimaa (b. 1975) is a composer, musician (violin/piano) and music educator from Paimio, Southwestern Finland. Despite his classical music background Kivimaa hardly cares about boundaries between musical genres. He has moved from cinematic expression to contemporary classical music and from north indian influences all the way to progressive rock. After a large amount of unpublished orchestral and chamber music and some commissioned theater music, "Above" (2021) was Kivimaa's first (own cost) album.
