
Rogier Pathie (1510 - 1564), composer, organist. (b ?Cambrai, c1510; d ?Valladolid, after 1564). Franco-Flemish composer and organist. In May 1530 his father, Jean Pathie, a singer at the court of François I, was paid 35 livres to cover food and medical expenses for his son Rogier, ‘petit organiste’ to the king. Becker's biography of C. Marot claimed that ‘Roger’ fled from Paris in 1534. By 1536 Rogier Pathie had succeeded Sigismund Yver as organist.
