South African singer-songwriter, born in Durban 1954, rose to prominence in the 1980's as a protest singer against apartheid. His album The Road is Much Longer was banned and Warner Bros reneged on a three-album deal, but Roger carried on performing live as Roger Lucey and the Zub Zub Marauders and Tighthead Fourie and the Loose Forwards. Now living in Cape Town, Roger still does live gigs but supports himself as a television producer and lecturer in media studies.
