About Roger Fakes
ROGER FAKES - He was part of a group called the Spinners that sung on some Bill Justis cuts on Sun Records. Its not hard to tell that rock and roll wasn't Fakes' first love. Harry Belafonte's work had a big influence on his style. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1938, Fakes moved to Memphis with his family at the age of 11. In July 4, 1956 he was photographed at an Independence Day benefit in Memphis when he won the door prize: a ring donated by the show's star, Elvis Presley.
