About Robert Ross
A Long time Bluesman of the New York City scene, Robert Ross played in blues, soul and bluesrock bands as a young man and cut his teeth playing with a mix of local artists and blues icons which included Brownie McGhee, Memphis Slim, JB Hutto and notibly John Lee Hooker,Lighening' Hopkins,Bones Malone and many others. Ross has lead his own band for decades and in 1989 won the New York Music Award for Best Blues Artist. Ross was recorded by Johnny Winter
