
Rob Lamothe was born in San Diego, California. He currently resides in Hamilton, Ontario. Early influences include his Grandma Campbell, Mahalia Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Cat Stevens, Neil Young, Mighty Clouds of Joy, Stone Foundation and the ocean. Later inspiration from his children, leaving America, living in Hamilton, travel, weather and humans. Phenomenon (with Ratt guitarist Crosby) had morphed into Secret Service in 1979 and then morphed into Aircraft, now fronted by vocalist Rob Lamothe, finally re-named to Mac Meda in 1981.
