Perhaps the preeminent Tucson band of the 80s, River Roses was a pioneering jangle-pop group that featured the complex pop songwriting craftsmanship of Caitlin Von Schmidt and Chris Holiman. River Roses released several successful independent recordings before signing with Camper Van Beethoven's Pitch-A-Tent imprint, released by Rough Trade. Their debut disc, "Each And All", was a masterful slab of gorgeous, dreamy Beatle-esque guitar pop widely acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic.
