
Rita Faye Wilson also was known as Little Rita Faye on the Grand Old Opry. The daughter of Smiley and Kitty Wilson . Rita Faye signed with MGM at the age of seven. Her first record was written by Martha Carson who brought Rita Faye to the attention of Fred Rose at Acuff Rose. Rita learned the autoharp from mother Maybel Carter. Recording the LP Rita Faye's Autoharp on Capitol Records by Ken Nelson who was running Capitol at the time. She also played autoharp on Patsy Cline's album and Neil Young.
