In 2004, two prominent members of the Hungarian underground rock/metal scene, Tamás Koltay (ex-Mood, ex-Stereochrist) and András Greff (ex-Convoy, ex-Wall Of Sleep) decided to form a brand new band to play loud and catchy rock and roll. A couple of months later they've found their partners in crime and so Ripley Under Water (yes, the name came from the novel of Patricia Highsmith, the queen of crime fiction) was born. In 2006 the band recorded three heartshaking songs and started to play shows in Hungary.
