Nikolai Andreyevich Rimsky-Korsakov (1844-1908) was a Russian classical composer who wrote his name into world music history with his operas and symphonies, such as Sadko; Snow Maiden; Le Coq d'Or (The Golden Cockerel); Scheherazade; etc. Rimsky-Korsakov was a member of the "Mighty Handful" / composer community aka the five, along with Alexander Borodin and Modest Musorgsky.
