About Rick Yost
Self-taught since his brother first showed him the chords to "Ghost Riders In The Sky" at age 13, Rick Yost played in his 20s as a sideman for singer-songwriters like Don Stecker and Bob Ackerman as part of the Lower Greenville/East Dallas nightclub scene. The first Rick Yost Group was an electric, rock and blues three-piece which formed in 1986. The band survived a little over a year. From then until 2000, Rick played solo, recording his first CD, Wichita Falls, in 1999.
