Richard’s first experience with sound experimentation and music composition began in the mid 80s when he acquired a sampler, computer, and other studio tools. "At that time I was more of a budding visual artist, but attending a Pink Floyd concert completely flipped my interests towards music. I would sample everything that could produce a tone and try to form something musical and sonically interesting out of my recordings. My keyboard and compositional skills were minimal
