About Ricardo Lamote De Grignon
Ricard Lamote de Grignon i Ribas (25 September 1899 – 5 February 1962) was a Catalan composer and conductor, and the only son of Joan Lamote de Grignon. Born and based in Barcelona, he received his earliest musical training from his father before studying at the Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu and the Academia Marshall. At age twenty he joined both the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and the Gran Teatre del Liceu as a cellist; in 1930 he became director of the Girona Symphony Orchestra and
