About Retape
Retape started in 1989 as a side-project for the then quite popular avantgarde performer Lok Grédning from Norway. After amassing a formidable amount of vintage synths and eastern asian brass and string instruments, Lok decided to withdraw into obscurity and forfeit the vocal elements previously prominent in his works. His new output channel was dubbed “Retape” and he enjoyed far less success under this moniker, but according to himself, also “much more satisfaction”.
