Rene de Vreng was born in 1963 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. After having played electric guitar in a band for a while, in 1982 or '83 he committed himself to recording his own music with guitars, synthesizers and home-studio equipment available at the time. His music is strongly influenced by the earlier Mike Oldfield and continues that style. Although he never got a deal with a recordlabel, his home-made music was - first on audio-cassette's and later on CD's - very well received in Germany, France and the Netherlands.
