About Renato Mondele
Renato "Mister Top Up" Mondele is a Congolese artist who has played with General Defao and Kanda Bongo Man (appearing in Jools Holland's "Later" and the One World Stage at Glastonbury) and with his band Big Stone. Renato Mondele was forced to leave his homeland to seek asylum in 2000. A sculptor in the DRC, Mondele had always loved music, but had never taken it seriously as a career - it was just something that he was good at. Now, he is an accomplished singer/songwriter and has released two albums.
