Reinhard Fuchs was born in 1974. He studied accordion at the Bruckner Konservatorium in Linz from 1991 to 1995, followed by studies in composition with Michael Jarrell at the University of Music in Vienna from 1995 to 2002. Fuchs also attended courses at the University of Miami in Florida. Masterclasses with Brian Ferneyhough, Marco Stroppa, Magnus Lindberg, and Klaus Huber were important influences for his further development.
