Rapatron formed in Oakland, CA, in 2002. Both an MC and a crew, Rapatron rocks the genre Cameo coined, electro rap. Originally claiming to be a robot MC crew from the future, Rapatron realized that the voice of crossover from electronic, prog, and punk rock into hip-hop was unique enough. Aligning themselves with post-rock and outsider hip-hop crews, Rapatron plays to a largely indie crowd. A shared vision between MC and producers to create a new kind of music that knows its past but is unafraid to forge a unique future.
