Description taken from the 1983 L.A. Mantra compilation insert: "Rand Kennedy has lived in Los Angeles most of his life, surveying the modern milieu in vivid style for the past few years. In 1980, he began work on a collection of several pieces of poetry set to music, entitled "Scenes of Redemption" from which "Enorma Jones" is taken. "Smith's Room" is a later piece showing a more reflective side. Recently, Rand has begun performance-accompaniment.
