
About Rakesh Chaurasia
Rakesh Chaurasia (born 10 January 1971) is an Indian flautist, who plays the bansuri, an Indian bamboo flute. He is the nephew of flautist Hariprasad Chaurasia. He has played and toured extensively with Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer, and Zakir Hussain, and was featured on Fleck's album As We Speak. This album won a Grammy award in 2024 in the category of Best Contemporary Instrumental Album. Additionally, the track Pashto, one of the 12 songs from the album As We Speak won in the category of Best Global Music Performance.
