Rainbow Promise was a Christian psychedelic rock band with strong country rock accents. The band was formed in Springfield, Missouri in 1972 and released an album "Rainbow Promise" on the small New Wine label. The band members were: Steve Powell (vocals + rhythm guitar), Richard Slaton (acoustic guitar), Dennis Jones (drums), Ric Bowers (lead guitar) and Leonard Brannon (bass guitar). 1972: THE RAINBOW PROMISE (New Wine - Wine Press LPS 259-01)
