The Northwest New Wave trio Radio Way from Portland, OR has done just that, drawing on a continuum of synth-based influences that extends from New Order in the 80s, through Joy Electric in the 90s, to the newer names of The Faint and The Bravery. So it should come as no surprise that driving beats and screaming synths form the foundation of their music, or that the title track of their newly released debut EP, Just Like the 80’s, also doubles as their motto.
