About Quentin Crisp
Quentin Crisp (born Denis Charles Pratt on 25 December 1908; died 21 November 1999) was an English writer, humorist and actor. From the mid-1970s his one-man stage show was a long-running hit both in Britain and America and he also appeared in films and on television. The British musician Sting dedicated his 1987 song "Englishman in New York" to Crisp (who moved to New York City in 1981). Two albums were released on Cherry Red Records "An Evening with Quentin Crisp" (2008) and "Miniatures 1 & 2" (2008) .
