The name "Qorqud" is taken from the heroic epos "Kitabi Dədə Qorqud", which means "The Book of my Dede Qorqud". L'veen originally from Baku, Azerbaijan, (real name Elvin Novruzov) In 2015, L'veen was a participant in the first season of the Azerbaijani reality talent show "Səs Azərbaycan" (Voice of Azerbaijan) directed by Manana Japaridze.
