About Putrefication
A South African Technical Blackened Death Metal band from Cape Town, formed as the side project of Gideon Lamprecht of Crow Black Sky. All writing and recording is done by Gideon, with Ryan Higgo (also of Crow Black Sky) assisting on vocals. The band was started as Putrescence, but was renamed to Putrefication due to a name conflict with a goregrind band under the same name. Influences include Nile, Behemoth, Malevolent Creation, and Necrophagist.
