About Psychoviolets
The Psychoviolets were a garage-rock band hailing from Lawrence, Kansas, active under various names from approximately 1982 through 1995. The Psychoviolets began as a blues-rock band under the name of The Violet Blues. Sometime in the mid-80's, they changed their name to The Ultraviolets, reflective of the evolution of their sound and the subject matter of their songs. They were picked up by German record label Music Maniac Records, and released their first LP, Changing Times, in 1990.
