About Pradeep
Kavi Pradeep (कवि प्रदीप) (6 February 1915 - 11 December 1998) was a popular Indian poet and film lyricist, most known for his patriotic song, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo (O! the people of my motherland!), written as tribute to the soldiers who had died defending the country, during the Sino-Indian War. The song was famously performed live, by Lata Mangeshkar, in the presence of Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru at the Ramlila grounds
