About Porchdogs Cajun Zydeco Band
Formed in 1992 in Orlando, Florida by Andy Burr (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Jimmy Miller (bass, vocals), and Ric Scoles (banjo), the band originally specialized in folk, bluegrass, and hillbilly music. The Porchdogs took on its present character when Greg Taillon (accordion, vocals) joined up, bringing along his interest in the spicy Cajun and zydeco music of Louisiana. Miller and Scoles departed not long thereafter, and the group has specialized in Cajun and zydeco ever since.
