Born in the quaint, beautiful town of Welshpool, Wales in 1992, Poppy Jones is adding to the tradition of gifted, strong-voiced, exasperatingly talented Welsh singers... (but she would never admit to such superlatives!) Poppy is at once influenced by the Folk Acoustic, Jazz reminiscent likes of John Butler Trio & Zee Avi and the Soulful Magnificence of those like Aretha Franklin. In her music you will hear this influence. Her sound is an acoustic, jazz-honeyed, huge, guttural and quirky sound that goes far beyond her years.
