Pop Music Team was a very popular musical group in Mexico City in the late 60's. there were 7 members: Jorge Berry-vocalist, Beto-trumpet, Bocho-drums, Ted Sparkuhl-the "gringo" who played tenor saxophone, and 3 other musicians whose names are forgotten at this time. The Doors backup band at the Forum in 1969- The Pop Music Team was a hot band for "fiestas de boletos" (live dances where people paid to get in) and in 1969 when The Doors came for a 2-day gig at The Forum, they were asked to be The Doors backup band.
