In January, 2010, the members of PoorWater began to experiment with creating a new musical sound using their diverse experiences in rock and classical music. After nearly two years of song writing, collaboration, and performing around Arizona, PoorWater found their dark-progressive musical niche. They released their debut album, Harvesting Habits, in December 2011. Harvesting Habits features songs written by all of the band members and varies from the catchy groove of the title track
