About Poor Blue
Formed in 2013 in Charlotte, NC, Poor Blue is the new southern roots-rock project from Mick E, aka Michael Stephens, head man of legendary Irish post-punk combo The Mighty Shamrocks. He's joined by Otis Hughes (bass) and Frank Hoffmann (drums). Their sound is a unique blend of Delta and country blues, punk and classic rock, jazz, classic country, bluegrass, rockabilly, and the wide world of music from didgeridoo to disco... Poor Blue spent over a year in Catalyst Recording in Charlotte with engineer Rob Tavaglione
