Polaroid Liquide move between boisterous instrumental passages & mellow songwriter elements. Set pieces reworked from jazz, blues and noise are brought in. The result is an expanse of constantly changing soundscapes which work on several levels. The songs tell you stories, they paint pictures. The band members themselves call their music free pop. Their songs are a mixture of indie pop with a jazzy punky edge. They don't follow the normal rock scheme of things, with those obvious chord progressions. Instead challenge rock conventions.
