Planet P Project was a science-fiction themed progressive rock band with one permanent member: Tony Carey; he used the name for his music that didn't fit the style of his other work. The first two albums, Planet P Project and Pink World, were released in 1983 and 1984 respectively, and saw a fair amount of MTV video airplay. Planet Project's most well known singles were Why Me, a sweeping, energetic romp about outer space and isolation, and the downbeat Static on the Radio.
