About Pietro Maria Marsolo
Pietro Maria Marsolo, or Marsoli , or Marzoli , or Marzolo (Messina , about 1580 - Piacenza , 9 November 1615 after), was an Italian composer and presbyter. There is not much biographical information on Marsolo. In the title pages of his works he asserts that he was from a noble family and that he was a doctor utriusque iuris; while the family "Marsolo" is unknown to the Sicilian heraldic repertoires, it is possible that he did legal studies at the University of Messina .
