
About Pietro Lappi
Pietro Lappi (* around 1575 in Florence, † 1630 in Brescia) was an Italian composer of the early Baroque. From 1593 Pietro Lappi was music director at Santa Maria delle Grazie in Brescia. He composed mainly sacred music. An exception is to his in 1616 in Venice printed, Op. 9, with 22 Canzoni da suonare a 4-13 stromenti, Libro 1, an instrumental music in the style of the Brescia school. An in 1613 published includes both works in the style of the late Renaissance, and early Baroque style (styles moderno).
