About Pieter van Dijk
Pieter van Dijk (born January 2, 1958 in Rheden) is a Dutch organist and professor at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. Life: Pieter van Dijk studied at the Music Academy in Arnhem with Bert Matter and deepened his organ playing with Gustav Leonhardt, Marie-Claire Alain and Jan Raas. Since 1989 he has held a professorship for organ at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and since 1995 a professorship for organ, improvisation and methodology at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg.
