About Pierre Etoile
Pierre Etoile was the name used by Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang to release one EP on Rough Trade Records in 1991 in the immediate aftermath of the demise of Galaxie 500. The tracks (In the Sun, Nineteen Sixty-Nine, This Car Climbed Mt. Washington) were being worked on as Galaxie 500 material but with Dean Wareham's decision to quit the band they were released under this name. This Car Climbed Mt. Washington later appeared on Damon & Naomi's first album More Sad Hits, originally released through Kramer's (of Butthole Surfers, Bongwater.
