About Phisqa
"Phisqa" means five in Quechua, A native language from my homeland Peru. Phisqa is fellowship of five musicians from different countries creating one unique sound. All of the tunes were composed in the last three years and each one tells a different story, derived from events and experiences I have encountered in these 26 summers, What we're trying to do in this music was to find a new approach to fuse native Peruvian rhythms with jazz, a language that formed the foundation of our musical education.
