About Phil Grier
Phil Grier was born in March of 1980 in a quaint town called Long Beach, California. His parents played largely oldies (40's and 50's), and medium to easy listening growing up. His aunt bought him an acoustic guitar when he was 12, and with a handful of lessons he started copying the songs he listened to on the radio. The majority of these songs were major-key and clean rythmically, bands like No Doubt, Sublime, and Operation Ivy. When Phil came of age to set out on his own, he moved into a house with no less than three other musicians.
