Peter Play started life in London, experimenting with rap, and operating/MCing with local reggae sound systems. He joined various reggae, soul and funk bands as a guitarist before moving to Brighton where he alternated this with DJing. Initially, he was a house party DJ, but once he discovered chillout at the turn of the millenium this became his milleu. It was around this time that he moved to Sheffield. Peter has always liked jazz so there is an element of this music in everything he does.
