Pete Davis is a graduate student in the flavor chemistry department of Oregon State University. He writes, records, and performs his music by himself, playing each instrument and recording each track separately. Beginning in late 2002, Pete recorded his first album under the name "The Comb-overs" when he was 16. His lyrics are thoughtful and well constructed, accompanied by somber-yet-technical guitar stylings and almost prog-like compositions, drawing parallels to such acts as Elliott Smith and Slowreader.
