
About Percy Faith and His Orchestra
Percy Faith was born April 7, 1908, and died February 9, 1976. He was a Canadian-born bandleader, orchestrator and composer who was known for his lush arrangements of pop standards. He was often credited with creating the "easy listening", or "mood music" format which became a staple of American popular music in the 1950's and continued well into the 1960's.
