With head-nodding, booty-shaking melodies and beats, and Sly Stone-esque crooning, these self-styled "white punks on funk" wear their Miami roots on their sleeves, brandishing Latin rhythms and electronic noise. Formed in Maimi in November of 2002, Pencilgrass's formative years were spent training at the esteemed University of Miami School of Music. In August of 2003 the band relocated to New Haven, CT. They've built a loyal and ever-growing group of fans up and down the East Coast and their tunes have hit the airwaves
