About Paul Van Kemenade Quintet
Founded in 1982, the Paul van Kemenade Quintet from the Netherlands blends elements from the European improvised with American jazz, African- and Spanish music. Blending the classical with infuences from pop music making all of this into a cocktail in its own right. The quintet plays the compositions of all members of the band and of all guest-musicians but they mainly play work by Van Kemenade. The quintet had their 25-year anniversary in 2007.
