
About Paul Patterson
Paul Patterson (b. 1947) is a British composer. Patterson entered the Royal Academy of Music in 1964 to study the trombone, but moved into composition. He was taught by Richard Stoker, Elisabeth Lutyens, and Richard Rodney Bennett, and has retained strong links with the Royal Academy. He was Head of Composition and Contemporary Music from 1987 1997, and is the Manson Professor of Composition. He has composed for various forces, but is best known for his contributions to the choral repertoire
