
Pataphysics are a band from Austin, TX led by Patrick Healey (aka Pat A. Physics), formerly of the Zom Zoms. They play silly nonsensical songs about Jesus, handlebar mustaches, miniskirts, and Mexicans. Their name is in reference to French writer Alfred Jarry’s philosophy dedicated to the study of what lies beyond the realm of metaphysics.
