Somewhere between somber and euphoric, Pastelfuneral is spearheading a sound self described as blissful gloom: fusing ballads and anthems, the switzerland based artist carries melancholic vocal melodies over his production, borrowing sounds and rhythms from almost every musical root, mixing ambient pianos with witch-house drumwork and pushing trance synth-lines into shoegaze territory.
